Description
"Tantalizing Takeoff" - Steven Michael Photography and Art
The AT-11 is known as the Kansan and was an advanced twin engine used for training during and after World War II. This is a smaller version of the B-17 and provided a training environment similar to the full sized bombers.
Tantalizing Takeoff is considered Vintage aircraft Nose Art. Nose Art began as an easy way to identify friendly aircraft and after a while, it became more about memories of home and peacetime. It was also believed to bring good luck to the flight crew and plane.
